(WSYR-TV) — No one really realizes they need a plan for their estate until the unthinkable happens. Don’t let that be the case for you!
Founding attorney of Crisafulli Estate Planning & Elder Law Tim Crisafulli stopped by Bridge Street on WSYR to discuss the importance of having a plan when it comes to families protecting their wealth.
While New York State has a law in place that divvies up assets, Crisafulli wants to ensure Central New York family legacies are being passed on in the right direction.
He shares making sure to have the bare minimum of documents: a last will and testament, a health care proxy and power of attorney.
Crisafulli broke down what happens if someone doesn’t have an estate plan and key points in life when people consider getting a plan or updating an existing plan.
